BriefTech FedOps — Terms of Service
Last updated: June 21, 2026
Brief Technologies LLC is an independent private company and is not affiliated with,
endorsed by, sponsored by, or acting on behalf of the U.S. Government, GSA, SAM.gov, Grants.gov,
USASpending.gov, or any federal agency.
1. Who This Applies To
These Terms govern your use of BriefTech FedOps ("FedOps," "the Service"), operated by Brief Technologies LLC ("Brief Technologies," "we," "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
FedOps is intended for use by businesses and individuals engaged in U.S. federal contracting and business development activities. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into binding contracts to use the Service.
2. What FedOps Does
FedOps surfaces, scores, and analyzes federal contracting opportunities from SAM.gov and related public sources against a company profile you provide, generating AI-assisted recommendations (including PWIN scoring, risk analysis, and bid/no-bid guidance). FedOps is a research and decision-support tool. It is not a substitute for your own diligence, legal review, or professional judgment.
3. Your SAM.gov API Key
To use FedOps's company profile and matching features, you connect your own SAM.gov API key.
- You are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining your SAM.gov API key in compliance with SAM.gov's own Terms of Use, including key rotation requirements and prohibitions on sharing your key outside your organization.
- We use your key only to retrieve your own company's registration data (NAICS codes, certifications, past performance, and similar) and SAM.gov opportunity data, on your behalf, through your account.
- We never share your API key with other customers, other organizations, or any third party.
- You may disconnect or revoke your API key at any time; doing so will limit or disable profile-dependent features.
4. Accounts, Organizations, and Seats
- Individual accounts are for one person's use. Do not share login credentials.
- Team and Enterprise plans allow an organization ("org_admin") to add multiple user seats, up to the seat limit for the applicable plan. The org_admin is responsible for ensuring that added users are legitimately affiliated with their organization (employees, contractors, or others authorized to act on the organization's behalf), consistent with SAM.gov's own restrictions on system account sharing.
- We may, at our discretion, flag or request confirmation for account additions that appear unaffiliated with the organization (for example, a mismatched email domain), and may log such confirmations for compliance purposes.
- We reserve the right to suspend accounts used in a manner inconsistent with SAM.gov's Terms of Use or these Terms.
5. AI-Generated Analysis
FedOps uses third-party AI models, including services provided by OpenAI and other providers that may change from time to time, to generate opportunity summaries, PWIN scoring, risk analysis, and bid recommendations based on your company profile and opportunity data.
- AI-generated content may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies. It is provided for informational purposes only and does not constitute legal, financial, procurement, proposal, contracting, compliance, or professional advice.
- You are solely responsible for any bid, no-bid, teaming, or business decision you make. We make no guarantee of win probability, opportunity fit, or outcome.
- Your company profile data and the text of opportunities you analyze are transmitted to our AI processing provider(s) solely to generate the requested analysis. See our Privacy Policy for details.
6. Subscriptions and Billing
- Subscription plans (Solo, Team, Enterprise) are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our payment processor. We do not store your full payment card details.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. You may cancel at any time through your account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
- Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as we may agree in our sole discretion.
- We may change pricing with advance notice; continued use after a price change constitutes acceptance.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use FedOps to access, scrape, or redistribute SAM.gov, SBIR.gov, or other government source data in violation of those systems' own terms of use;
- Share your account, API key, or login credentials outside the bounds described in Section 3 and 4;
- Reverse-engineer, resell, or use the Service to build a competing product;
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable government contracting regulation.
8. Intellectual Property
Brief Technologies retains all rights in the FedOps software, scoring methodology, and platform. You retain ownership of your own company profile data and any content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your data solely to provide the Service.
9. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT OPPORTUNITY DATA IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, OR ERROR-FREE, AS IT IS SOURCED FROM THIRD-PARTY GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS OUTSIDE OUR CONTROL. WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR OUTAGES, DELAYS, CHANGES, RESTRICTIONS, OR DISCONTINUATION OF THIRD-PARTY DATA SOURCES, APIS, OR GOVERNMENT SYSTEMS UPON WHICH THE SERVICE RELIES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO SAM.GOV, SBIR.GOV, GRANTS.GOV, AND USASPENDING.GOV. IN NO EVENT SHALL BRIEF TECHNOLOGIES BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR LOST-PROFIT DAMAGES ARISING FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BRIEF TECHNOLOGIES' TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, including violations of SAM.gov's own Terms of Use that we become aware of. You may terminate your account at any time.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
