Getting Started

How do I get a SAM.gov API key?
Request a free public API key directly from SAM.gov under your own SAM.gov account. Once you have it, enter it in your FedOps profile under Settings → SAM.gov Connection. FedOps uses your key solely to pull your own company's registration data — NAICS codes, certifications, and past performance — automatically into your profile.
Why do I need to connect my own SAM.gov key instead of FedOps just using its own?
Two reasons. First, it keeps your company profile accurate — it's pulled live from the federal system of record, not typed in and possibly out of date. Second, it is the architecture we believe best aligns with SAM.gov's Terms of Use, which restrict sharing a single API key across unrelated organizations.

Account & Billing

How do I add teammates on the Team plan?
Org admins can add up to 5 seats from the admin panel. If you add someone whose email doesn't match your organization's domain, you'll be asked to confirm they're legitimately part of your team before the invite goes through.
How do I change my plan or cancel?
Manage your subscription from your account settings. Changes take effect at the start of your next billing cycle; cancellations stop renewal but don't cut off access until the current period ends.
How do I reset my password?
Use the "Forgot password?" link on the sign-in screen. You'll receive a reset link by email.

Data & Privacy

Can other companies see my opportunities, pipeline, or profile information?
No. FedOps uses organization-scoped access controls designed to isolate customer data by organization. Users can access only the data associated with their authorized organization account and assigned permissions. Organization administrators may grant access to users within their own organization, but one customer organization cannot access another organization's data through the Service.
Is my company data shared with anyone?
No. We don't sell or share your company profile data. A small set of trusted processors (our AI analysis provider and Stripe for billing) handle data solely to operate the Service. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Who owns my data?
You retain ownership of your company profile information, notes, pipeline data, and other content you enter into FedOps. Brief Technologies processes that information solely to provide the Service.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
We retain your account and profile data for a limited period after cancellation in case you reactivate, after which it's deleted. You can request earlier deletion any time — just email us.
